I am feeling the pain of old age. I am feeling the pain of juggling a million projects at this stage of life. And I am definitely feeling the joy of a bedroom remodel — along with the pain of hammering, painting, trimming, staining, and even cleaning carpet by hand.
All that to say: here’s my update from the last two days of remodeling my bedroom. I scrubbed down the dirty walls, let them dry, then painted them. I spent one day staining one door frame, then tackled painting the other door and trim white — which was no joke, going from brown to white. And while I couldn’t paint the ceiling, I did cover it in fabric… and I LOVE how it turned out.
I’m not decorating the bedroom just yet. I want to paint the other rooms in my palace first, then take my time bringing everything together.
I can definitely tell I’m almost 53 — the aches and pains are real after all this work.
