May Is Coming…

April is wrapping up in just a few hours, and honestly, I can’t believe how fast this month flew by. I’ll be real—I didn’t stay fully committed to my Whole30 lifestyle these past few months. I bounced in and out of it, and now it’s time to get grounded and get back on track.

So here’s the plan for the next three months—simple, structured, and powerful:

  • Whole30 Soup Plan starts May 1st — veggie-packed soups loaded with herbs and whole ingredients.

  • Daily walks — a full 60 minutes every single day.

  • No coffee, all tea — plus plenty of water to keep everything flowing.

  • Minimal meat — sticking mostly to chicken and fish.

  • No processed foods or alcohol — clean, clear, intentional eating.

And I’m not stopping there. I’m getting back to tracking my food and workouts every day, drinking apple cider vinegar, hitting the gym, and keeping up with weekly yoga sessions (at least 30 minutes).

I’m ready. I’m focused. I’m committed.

I’m going to CRUSH this.

It’s OKAY to Pause…

I’ve been sick — I left work early on Tuesday and ended up calling out today. Clearly, my body needed a full PAUSE. My nose started running on Tuesday, and by noon, I was coughing, sneezing, and feeling awful. I left work, grabbed some meds, came home, and crashed until sunset. Woke up, took more meds, ate a little, and went right back to resting.

All night I felt terrible, so I called out today (Wednesday). I’m feeling better now, but today has definitely been a PAUSE day. And honestly, it felt good to rest and let my body reset. I’m heading back to work tomorrow, and I already know it’s going to be rough.

But for now, I’m PAUSING, resting, and letting my body recover until tomorrow.

My Effort Counts…

Oh, Monday… you were long, you were loud, and you came with three walks, a mountain of work, and a few solid wins crushed along the way.

I can’t believe April is already slipping away. I’m ready for May—ready to pour more intention into my health, my blog, my creative projects, and all the events coming up. A fresh month always feels like a reset button, and I’m leaning into it.

I don’t have much else to say tonight, but effort is effort—and showing up is how you get what you want.

I’ve Got This…Bathroom Remodel Done!

I have so much to catch you all up on, but I’m starting with my Friday—and trust me, I’ll be posting a lot over the next 48 hours.

So… Friday was Bathroom Makeover Day, and it came with a full storyline. First, I repainted the entire bathroom and installed new flooring. It looks amazing now, but getting there was a journey. My coworker gifted me some “white” paint… except it wasn’t white at all. It dried into a beige-with-a-hint-of-pink situation. Pink. Yes, pink. But honestly? It dried beautifully, and I’m obsessed with it.

Then came the flooring saga. I grabbed some vinyl pre-glued tiles from Family Dollar—faux granite, super cute, but the glue? Weak. I do not recommend this tile. It looks great, but it takes forever to actually bond to the floor. If you already bought it, throw some rugs down and walk laps. That’s the only way those tiles are committing.

And because the bathroom wanted one more plot twist, I used up a small can of white paint before opening the gallon of beige. I did all the trim in white, then had to blend the beige into it. The result? A soft, cloud-like effect around the door frames and baseboards. It looks cool now, but blending those paints took patience.

The good news: I finished the entire bathroom remodel in under five hours, and cleanup wasn’t bad at all. Now the fun part begins—decorating the space in my sun, moon, and stars theme. The celestial bathroom era is officially underway.

Even On Hard Days, I Keep Going…

My arm and upper back are really hurting, but I still made it through the day. I must’ve pulled a muscle yesterday while moving things from my bedroom to the living room. I didn’t even think I did that much, but clearly I did something.

So…my Monday was all about working through the pain and still getting things done. And honestly, I CRUSHED it. I walked for 30 minutes, read my latest book, found some free audiobooks, and even rescheduled my doctor visit.

Speaking of that appointment—I moved it from June to August so I have more time to get in better shape before all the medical tests and that weigh-in. I’m actually excited to get back in shape and feel stronger about my health.

For now, I’m going to get this pain under control and sip some lemon water while I regroup.

I May Feel Tired, But I Am Not Giving Up.…

Happy Friday!

It’s been a week, and I’m officially unplugging this Friday afternoon — but not before I knock out a few #The100DayProject pieces and squeeze in some cleaning. First, let me recap the whirlwind:

  • Enjoyed a much-needed Monday off and soaked up every minute of that break

  • Powered through Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday like a champ

  • Clocked out a little early today so I could deep-clean the breakroom

  • Knocked out laundry on both Monday and Friday

  • Started easing into my bathroom remodel

  • Shaved my head today and treated myself to a full spa moment

  • Went thrifting on Monday and donated a bunch on Tuesday

  • Taking it easy tonight, because Saturday is packed with events

I’m definitely a little tired, but I’m not tapping out — even if I am currently stretched out in bed relaxing. Time for dinner, then back to my projects.

How I Am Feeling So Far in 2026…

It’s April 15th, and the month is quietly sliding by without much noise. I had a great weekend, and now I’m easing myself back into the daily grind. Tonight’s writing prompt is “How I Am Feeling So Far in 2026,” so here’s my little life update.

I’m feeling OK about the year so far. It’s been challenging, but in a way that feels productive—work, the blog, projects, events, and slowly kicking off my apartment remodel. I’m in a much better place than I was in 2025. Winter treated me well this time around: good weather, big work transitions, and the whole process of building this blog from the ground up.

Right now, I’m trying to get back into a gym rhythm. Some days I’m on it, and other days the hype just disappears. I’m also trying to bring veggies back into my life—part of staying aligned with my Whole30 lifestyle. I know myself: one morning this month, I’m going to wake up and be fully ready to go all-in again.

So yes…I’m doing OK. But the goal is to get to GREAT. And I’m moving in that direction.

“Stay Creative”...Just for the Sake of It…

Today felt like a whole Monday disguised as a Tuesday. Going back to work was rough, but I pushed through. I stayed late, came home exhausted, and still managed to cook a beautiful meal — pork chop, green beans, cheese bread, and a glass of red wine. Honestly, that plate was the perfect little escape from everything.

After dinner, all I wanted was my bed, but I made myself “Stay Creative” just for the sake of honoring the process. I pulled together a few pieces for #The100DayProject and even used some star-patterned scrapbook paper I rediscovered in my closet.

Now I’m ready to put on an old movie and drift off to sleep before the opening credits finish rolling.

More tomorrow!
